BTG MEDIATION
RESOLVE YOUR CONFLICT!
Meet Beverly Taylor, a woman on a mission to bring people together through the art of conflict resolution.
As a former TV journalist, Beverly knows firsthand the power of effective communication and how it can make or break a situation. That’s why in 2011, she made the bold decision to go back to school and earn her master’s degree in Dispute Resolution from Marquette University, strengthening her passion for helping others find common ground. To Beverly, there’s nothing quite like the feeling of watching mediation participants take ownership of the outcome and come up with creative, out-of-the-box solutions that they can all agree on. As a mediator, she sees herself as a guide, helping steer the conversation towards a positive resolution and ensuring that all parties feel heard and respected.
At BTG Mediation, Beverly facilitates cases concerning a variety of issues, including:
Divorce/Separation
Divorcing or separating parents in conflict over visitation, custody, and placement of their children
Parent/School Conflicts
A parent of a child receiving special education in conflict with the school district concerning their child’s individualized educational program (IEP)
Business Conflicts
A party in conflict with a business concerning service received (or not received)
There is no one size fits all. Each case has its own set of challenges requiring an individualized approach centered on the underlying interests of the parties.

One of the most important things in mediation is trust. If parties don’t trust the mediator, the process can be hampered. Beverly knows that it’s her job to earn the parties’ trust. That’s why she takes the time to really listen to her clients, reflecting back what she hears to make sure she’s truly understanding their perspective. Beverly doesn’t speak just to hear herself talk – she speaks to be understood, always making sure her clients know that their issues, thoughts, and feelings are important to her. With empathy and understanding, she creates a safe space for her clients to explore their differences and work towards a mutually agreeable solution. And throughout the process, Beverly makes it clear that this is their journey – a voluntary, self-determination process that they can stop at any time if it’s not working for them. For Beverly, trust isn’t just a buzzword – it’s a fundamental part of the mediation process, and she’s committed to earning it with every client she works with.
