THE JOURNEY...
Beverly Taylor frequently stands in front of a microphone, from delivering Easter speeches at church as a child in Humboldt, TN to anchoring the news in TV news studios in Huntsville, Alabama and Milwaukee, WI to hosting a podcast to narrating captivating audiobooks. As a staunch observer of people, she has cultivated a variety of vocal styles. Style development for Beverly has included anchoring newscasts and reporting stories containing a variety of subject matters and emotions, from a mother begging for help finding her young daughter and an 8-year-old boy giving toys to kids in need to the dying wish of the creator of a program for teens and the herculean efforts to vindicate soldiers falsely accused of a crime. She’s learned there’s a different tone, pacing and feeling with each one. These subject matters lend themselves to powerful storytelling which is a passion for Beverly.
After leaving television news, Beverly joined the commercial voiceover arena. She started voicing commercials and narrating audiobooks, as well as honing her editing skills. At the same time, she was asked to host a podcast (The 411 Live) which deals with hard-hitting topics like sex trafficking.
Beverly has benefited from her reporting and public speaking skills as a popular emcee, interviewer, and virtual and in-person event moderator. She has an ability to engage audiences and facilitate the timely flow of events. Making guests she interviews feel at ease is always her goal.
Another passion for Beverly happens out of the spotlight. She’s a mediator. Her skill at helping people resolve conflict started very early, with her childhood friends. Since then, she has obtained a master’s degree in Dispute Resolution from Marquette University and has been professionally helping people find common ground ever since.
For Beverly, there is nothing more rewarding than using her talents to make a positive impact on the world around her, one story, one voiceover, one event, one mediation at a time.
